Description
Black and white photograph of a wrecked caterpillar tractor. In the background, there appear to be two, two-sleds loaded with pulpwood. See p00043. Painted on the cab of the tractor are the letters and words: "10 Ton. GNP. Co." Standing beside the wreck is a man wearing a wool cap, a buffalo plaid coat, leather mittens, wood pands and a pair of heavy leather boots. He holds a pipe in the corner of his mouth and glares toward the camera, ca. 1930-1950. Back matter: "The tractor has an accident. Great Northern Paper Co.?" Donated by Sarah “Sadie” Augusta French Lee, aka Mrs. Lyman K. Lee of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
