Description
Black and white photograph of five unidentified young men from the Emerson Lumber Co. near Moro in Aroostook County. The crew stands atop a stack of snow-covered logs in the rolling yard. The logs have been stickered with skids promote air circulation and prevent the logs from freezing together while stacked. Photo appears in Chandler, B. A. “Lumbering in northern Maine : an illustrated by an operation of the Emerson Lumber Company.” (Univ. 1909 C361L). Unpublished thesis, University of Maine, 1909. Accessioned 1958.
