Black and white photograph of the dam construction site on the Penobscot River at Veazie, Maine. The photograph is taken at the location of the sluice gates, 1912. Back matter: "Building the Veazie Dam. From an old broken plate that I found. This view shows where the large slyice gates are now located. At the right part of the old donkey engine house, the engine was used to pump out the flumes. Part of the old wheel house can also be seen at the right. This work was started in 1912. H.S. Marden.
