Abstract/ Summary
The Millinocket Area Growth and Investment Council (MAGIC) engaged the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center to conduct this study of former residents of the Katahdin Area (defined as Millinocket, East Millinocket, and Medway). The aim was to understand characteristics of those who left the region and why they left, how these former residents compare the Katahdin Area to where they currently live, and to solicit respondents’ views on strategies to encourage former residents to return and on barriers to returning to the area.
