Abstract/ Summary

A century in the life of any active, even though small community, covers a vast amount of local history, and to gather into a permanent form the loose historic threads, that the past may not be forgotten, and also to increase the knowledge of the present and future generations in regard to the labors and sacrifices of its pioneer settlers, it is the duty of the present generation to preserve and transmit to posterity the records of its times and institutions.
