Addresses were followed by the unveiling of a memorial tablet in stone in a service by two of Hannibal Hamlin's descendants, Miss Louise M. Hamlin of Bangor, a great-granddaughter, and Miss Julia F. Carter of Paris, Maine, a grand-niece.
