Black and white action photo at the finish line at Skowhegan Fair park, August 21, 1931. Phil D. finished first in the first heat of the 3-year-old pace in 2.12 1/4, ahead of Calumet Bantam and Wilma Scott. Wilma Scott came back to take first in the final two heats of the contest, claiming the $300 purse.
