Description
Black and white photo of the start of the second heat of the 2.23 Trot & Pace at Oxford County Fair Race Grounds, Norway/Paris on September 17, 1930. From left to right the horses include Silver Napoleon (wearing the dark shadow roll); Marda Harvester; and Northern Tree (wearing the light color shadow roll). Marda Harvester took first in the heat with Silver Napoleon finishing in third. Northern Tree dropped back to sixth at the finish, according to Kendall's notations on the score card.
