Description
Black and white photo of a heat of the 2.35 Class Trot or Pace labeled by Guy Kendall as "Scoring for the Word." Kendall identified three of the four horses in the image, (front left to right) Walter Indiana, unidentified horse who Is either Lagrange or Prince Henry, Dewey W., and Evening Express. Evening express took the race in four heats with Walter Indiana finishing second, and Prince Henry, third.
