Black and white photo of pacer, mare Northern Tree with owner/driver A. F. Snell, wearing number 3, up at the Bridgton Agricultural Association races, Wednesday, August 6, 1930. Northern Tree took the first place in the 2.23 Class Pace. Note the large shadow roll across Northern Tree's face to prevent the mare from seeing shadows on the track that might distract or spook her.
