Black and white photo of bay mare, pacer Margaret Grattan. Margaret Grattan has genetic lines tracing to the greatest American trotting and pacing horses bred in the 1860s and 1870s, including four bloodlines to Hambletonian--cited by historians as "the great father of trotters" from Harrison County, Kentucky; George Wilkes; Mambrino Chief; and Alexander's Abdallah. Margaret Grattan, driven by W. Flemming, finished second in the 2.15 class pace at the Bay State Circuit races, Sage Park, Windsor, Connecticut, Monday, June 30, 1930.
