Description
Black and white action photograph of the field of horses approaching the finish line of the second heat of the National Stake Trot on Wednesday, July 16, 1941 at the Kite Track, Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Perpetual, a brown colt wearing head number one, Parshall up, crossed the line in first place with a time of 1.04-3/4. Volstadt, a bay cold wearing head number three, Berry up, finished in second place. Brown colt, Lansdown, wearing head number four, W. Caton up, showed in third.
