Description

Black and white portrait of black trotter, Symbol Gantle, held by an unidentified stable groom in an unidentified location. Born in 1936 out of Symbol S. Forest by Cegantle Girl by Baron Cegantle, Symbol Gantle was bred, trained, and driven by William E. Miller (1879-1954), a future member of the Harness Racing Museum Hall of Fame. In the early 1940s, Symbol Gantle was just beginning his career going on to win a total $16,592. Symbol Gantle was the only fast record cold and aged trotting stallion with no Peter the Great or Axworthy blood.
