Black and white action photograph of bay gelding, pacer Mr. Signal wearing head number two Church Jr. up, winning the second heat of the 2.13 Pace on Friday, July 26, 1940 at Cumberland Fairgrounds in West Cumberland, Maine. Photographer Guy Kendall misidentified the image as being from the first race of the day when Mr. Signal was outfitted with head number seven.
