Bay mare, Charlotte B., wearing head number two, Jordan up, finished the heat in first place followed by bay gelding Joe Direct, Wathen up, finishing in second. Black gelding, Star Henley, Chappell up, showed in third place followed by brown mare, Sis Abbe, Church up, in fourth.
