Black and white action photograph of the finish of the first heat of the Free for All Handicap race on Monday, July 17, 1939 at the Grand Circuit Meet, Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Lone Ace (third horse from the left), whose record time was 1.59 1/4, claimed first. Bay mare, Orpha (second horse from the right) wearing saddle number six, R. Parker up, placed in second. Bay stallion, The Widower wearing saddle number five (first horse on the right), Victor Fleming up, showed in third.
