Description
Black and white action photograph of the field of horses in the 2.09 Bar Pace at the Tuesday, October 25 1938 Overcoat Meeting approaching the finish. According to Guy Kendall's race day notes the order of finish was Star Volo, wearing head number one, in first place; Dick Hal, wearing head number five, placing in second; and bay mare Gay Dillon wearing head number six, showing in third. Warwell Guy, wearing head number four, showed in fourth place; bay gelding, Amor Patch, wearing head number two crossed the line in fifth place; and Easter Lee, wearing head number three finished sixth. Calumet Delores in head number 10, finished the race in the seventh place slot. Bay gelding Kelly Hanover wearing head number seven finished in eighth; Billy wearing head number eight, finished ninth; with Calumet Elbert wearing head number nine finished in last place.
