Sepia tone photograph of Wendall Wathen posing while holding the harnesses of two of standardbred horses out of his father, Stan A. Wathen's stable in Fort Fairfield, Maine. The horse on the left is bay stallion, Spectator by Abbedale. The horse on the right is bay gelding, Cal Abbe by Calumet Adam and Airedain by Abbedale. The photograph appears to have been taken near the sheds at the Topsham Fair track in October 1938.
