Description
Two-year-old pacer, bay filly, Gracious Lady out of the Sullivan-Mawhinney stables in Machias, Maine, won the the special 2 Yr. Old Pine Tree Pace at the Oxford County Agricultural Society races on Wednesday, September 15, 1937. Photographer Guy Kendall identifies the gentleman on the left (wearing sunglasses), as well-known trainer/driver Henry Clukey of Dexter, Maine. The three people on the right are unidentified but may be John Sullivan (in back), Fred Mawhinney, and Vivian (Perry) Mawhinney, all of Machias. The photo is signed in the lower left corner by Kendall.
