Sepia tone action photo of chestnut gelding Calumet Evart, Archie Day up, approaching the finish of a heat of the 2.11 Trot at the Wednesday, September 1, 1937 meeting of the Shapleigh-Acton Fair Races in Acton, Maine. Calumet Evart and Day claimed all three heats of the contest though photographer Guy Kendall fails to identify which heat was captured in this photograph.
