Sepia tone finish line photograph of the second race of the Saturday, September 26, 1936 meeting of the Cumberland Farmers' Club races at West Cumberland, Maine. Bay gelding, pacer Peter Magnus, wearing saddle number five (on the far left of the image), Dumont up, won the first heat of the Handicap Trot and Pace ahead of bay gelding, Hoyle, wearing saddle number seven, Haddock up. Other horses in the shot include stallion Hartford Peter wearing saddle number three, finishing in third and Peter Simmons in fourth.
