Sepia tone photo of bay mare, pacer Ariel Nelson winning the first heat of the 2.19 Trot or Pace at the Union Park Trotting Association Race Meet, Acton, Maine on Friday, August 2, 1935. Coming in second in the heat was Annie Kimball. Calumet Browning finished in third. The balance of the field included Chieftain, Jim Trojan, and Sonny Hanover. Kendall mounted the photo inside the official score card.
