Black and white finish line action photo of bay gelding, Brave Arion wearing saddle number four, L. Toole up in the fifth race of the Rochester Fair, Cold Spring Park, Rochester, N. H., Wednesday, September 26, 1934. Photographer Guy Kendall noted on the race score card that Brave Arion finished the contest in 2.09 1/4. Jeanne Truax, G. Rediker up placed, while Willys Knight, J. Gendron up, showed in third. June Volo, Walter Gibbons up, finished the contest in fourth. Note the Cold Spring Park judges' stand that appears in the photo's background, including a series of loud speakers, a bell and the time and results boards.
