Black and white finish line action photo of black gelding Direct Braden, Colburn up, crossing the finish line in first place during the first heat of the Press Herald 2.14 Pace at the Western Maine Agricultural Exposition, Cumberland County Fair Trotting Park, Gorham, Maine, August 1934. Also pictured in the photo is Calumet Charles, driven by Gerrow, who finished the heat in second place. Note the posters in the background, advertising upcoming race events as well as the upright piano that provided entertainment for spectators between races.
