Jerry Dale appears on the right in the image, crossing the finish line in first place followed by Worthy Hanover, appearing on the far left of the image. Jerry Dale went on to win the third heat of the race, taking the purse. Worthy Hanover placed second in the contest while Royal Hanover showed in third.
