Abstract

The Official Racing Program for the Topsham Fair for Wednesday, October, 12, 1938 at Topsham, Maine. The program includes the names of race officials, the fields of horses in each race, and information about rules for the Daily Double.

Kendall noted that during the Junior Free For All Pace, Dusty Hanover out of the Sullivan and Mawhinney Stable in Machias, Maine, set a new track record in the sixth race, then broke it in the ninth race.

The program also includes Guy Kendall's handwritten notes on race finishes, changes in the race lineups, and his own personal bets and winnings. Kendall's notes on bets are noted at the bottom of each race column, with the amount bet noted on the left and winnings noted on the right.
