Abstract

Six panel program for the Thursday, August 18, 1938 harness races at the Centennial Celebration of the Skowhegan Fair, 1838-1938. Touted in 2017 as "The Nation's Oldest Consecutively Running Agricultural Fair," organizers state the Skowhegan State Fair began meeting in 1818.

The program includes the track records for pacing, 2.02 1/2 set by Ray Henley on August 20, 1937 and trotting, 2.04 3/4, set by Alloway on August 16, 1937.
