Description
This photograph captures a few nurses participating in the Walkout from Nanantun to Litan. The picture was taken by British conscientious objector Martin Davies, who, as a part of the Friends Ambulance Unit working for Gordon Seagrave, formed friendships with the nurses who had been working for Segrave's mobil ambulance unit. At the time, Martin Davies was partnered with a nurse named Lulu, who later married another member of Seagrave’s team, U Tun Shein.
