Abstract
I edited together a documentary on the Alaska Folk Festival. I used the footage shot by myself (40+ hours) and a group of students from the University of Maine (an additional 260+ hours) at the 2007 festival. I edited the footage in Final Cut Pro and created the DVD in DVD Studio Pro. The finished product was about 12 minutes long. It gives a general overview of the festival and takes a look at the question: What is folk music? The target audience could be almost anyone but will be especially interesting for residents of Juneau or anyone who has attended the folk festival in previous years.
