The Fogler Celebrates posters represent our recent efforts to place the library within the larger community. We continue to discuss the “library in the community” and what this means to us and to our users as we plan for the 2012-2013 academic year. While these posters are only one facet of our current outreach efforts, they do offer a visual summary of our goals. By focusing on a celebration or event that is easily recognized by the general public, using an eye catching quadrant design and a simple quotation, and including a link to a library or university resource whenever possible, we attempt to engage viewers and invite them to see the library in the context of the larger community. We have recently expanded the series to include a celebration of Maine Counties.
