Project Abstract/ Summary

Dr. Juan Cole, the Richard P. Mitchell Collegiate Professor of History at the University of Michigan, will speak on "The Obama Administration and the Arab Youth Revolutions o" at 7 :30 p.m. on December I in I 10/120 Little Hall. The talk is sponsored by the Howard Schonberger Peace and Justice Memorial Lecture Series. Dr. Cole is the author of numerous books on the Middle East and Islamic world, including The New Arabs: How the Millennial Generation is Changing the Middle East (2014); Engaging the Muslim World (2009); and Napoleon's Egypt: Invading the Middle East (2007). He is also the founder of Informed Comment, a popular and critically acclaimed blog on current events in the Middle East, and has been a guest commentator on shows such as PBS's Lehrer News Hour,the ABC Nightly News, Nightline,the Today Show, Charlie Rose, Rachel Maddow,the Colbert Report, and Democracy Now.
