Project Abstract/ Summary
The dance program has evolved from a works-in-progress presentation in Minsky Recital Hall in the Fall and a dance concert at Hauck Auditorium in the Spring to two full-fledged Hauck shows per year, plus four Emerging Dance Works showcases. Emerging Dance events were created to give aspiring student choreographers the chance to exhibit works-in-progress in an informal setting as well as providing an opportunity for individual dancers to test their performance skills in a more relaxed and supportive atmosphere. All of this work culminates in the Spring Dance Concert, which is well attended by the local and surrounding community, and the university population.
