Project Abstract/ Summary
Brunswick-based author, boxer, kayaker and lobster fisherman, Jaed Coffin, will lead a discussion and sign copies of his first book, "A Chant to Soothe Wild Elephants" which chronicles his time at the Buddhist temple in Thailand where he was ordained as a monk. A graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast Writing Program, Jaed's first book has been hailed as a coming-of-age story that transcends the memoir genre.
