This evocative photographs depicts three men, sitting at their ease over the embers of a campfire, near the entrance to a cave. Two men smoke pipes, and one has a cigarette in his mouth. There is evidence of a picnic - a woven basket sits by the cave opening, and there are battered cans and paper sacks on the ground. More equipment is visible within the cave. The men appear relaxed and well-fed. The area beyond the cave is thickly wooded.
