Description

Image scanned from black and white negative labeled "Michaud's." Probably depicts Eagle Lake Camps, which were operated by Saul and Emily Michaud from 1921 to 1960. A man in a wide-brimmed hat, riding a horse and carrying a rifle, seems to be on the point of entering a lakeside camp. There is a rustic log cabin to his right, and simple frame houses behind him. The lake shore is on the left side of the picture, and two canoes are drawn up on the pebbly beach. A well-worn dirt road constitutes the foreground.
