Description
Image scanned from black and white negative labeled "Katahdin." A man holds a frying pan over what may be a camp fire (the fire itself is not visible in the photograph). He wears a natty hat, and squats at the entrance to a narrow cave. There are blankets and other camping items piled in the mouth of the cave, which is formed by huge slabs of granite. The shadow of the photographer can be seen in the foreground.
