Project Abstract/ Summary
The Hudson Museum and the Maine Center for the Arts will host a distinguished lecture by Dr. Meave Leakey. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hutchins Concert Hall and will be free and-open to the UMaine community and the public. Seating is limited to 1600.
For over 70 years, the Leakeys have been digging in Africa, uncovering fossilized clues to the origins of our earliest ancestors. Dr. Meave Leakey's field and lab work have established her as one of the most visible and distinguished scientists in a highly competitive and male-dominated profession.
