Description

Excerpts from remarks of Bangor City Councilor, John T. Barry, at the Democratic State Convention held in Brewer, Maine, in the spring of 1956. Barry shares his gratitude that Democrats can hold their heads high in the state of Maine. While he does not mention him by name, it is clear that a significant portion of his remarks are a tribute to the tremendous success of Maine Governor Edmund Muskie.
