Abstract/ Summary

This issue of the MPAC Newsletter applied an "anti-militaristic and anti-imperalistic analysis" to contemporary Maine issues with articles on Native American landback activism, the economic impact of defense spending in Maine, the occupation of the Seabrook nuclear power plant in New Hampshire, profiles of several Maine-based activist organizations. The issue also includes articles discussing the Carter administration's Human Rights foreign policy, surveillance of activist groups by the United States government and a review of ex-CIA agent Philip Agee's book on his undercover operations with the agency.
