The Maine Perspective, a publication for the University of Maine, was a campus newsletter produced by the Department of Public Affairs which eventually transformed into the Division of Marketing and Communication. Beginning in 1998, the summer issues of The Maine Perspective were reduced to two-pages reflecting cost-cutting measures and the increasing impact of digital technology on campus-based communications.
