Abstract/ Summary
The alarming disparities in maternal health outcomes among Black birthing people (BBP) in the United States underscore a significant public health crisis, with BBPs facing pregnancy-related mortality rates three times higher than their non-Hispanic white counterparts. Doulas are professionals who support individuals during pregnancy and birth, helping to reduce racial disparities.
