General Maine History Photographs

The images in the General Maine History gallery include photographs and postcards that have been gathered from many of the library's manuscript collections. Many images were originally scanned to support specific projects of researchers, authors, and students. Scanning will be ongoing, but so far this represents a fraction of the images available through Raymond H. Fogler Library's Special Collections Department, so feel free to contact us with your specific research interests.

There are no restrictions on use of these images. For information about the process and fees for obtaining higher resolution scans or another file format, contact Special Collections at spc@umit.maine.edu or 207.581.1686.
