An image scanned from a black and white negative from within items of a family living in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, in the early 1900s. Ice is caked around the legs of the pier at low tide. The sign on one of the businesses in the background reads, "Visit the Velvet Palmistry Parlors." Circa 1905.
