Description
A scan from a black and white negative with no caption information from the Charley Miller papers. This appears to be Maine outdoorsman and guide, Charley Miller, having an opportunity to meet First Lady Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson.
Lady Bird Johnson is known to have stopped briefly at Bangor's Dow Air Force Base in August, 1964, on a visit that also included the dedication of Roosevelt-Campbello International Park and a flight over Passamaquoddy Bay. This may have been the occasion of this photograph.
