A black and white portrait from the papers of Mary E. Dawson, a dancer born in Philadelphia who became known in the entertainment world as Mademoiselle Fifi. Handwriting on the back of the photograph reads, "Fifi at 50 Yrs, Hollywood, Calif. 1940, When the righ[t] man comes along, you say yes."
