An image scanned from a black and white postcard with the caption "Old Covered Bridge Over Stillwater River, Maine." Images of America: Maine's Covered Bridges by Joseph D. Conwill notes that this was the "much lamented" Stillwater Bridge at Old Town, the last double-barrel covered bridge in the state, removed in 1951 (p. 98).
