Black and white photograph of Helen Peirce, a daughter of Horatio N. Jose, a prominent businessman in Portland, Maine. She married Herbert Henry Davis Peirce, American diplomat and minister to Norway from 1906 to 1911. No date or location indicated. Included in a collection of Mrs. Peirce's letters written 1880 to 1916, Special Collections MS 982 sc.
