Description

Louis J. Boos, born in 1940, is a native of Pittsfield, MA and earned his B.A. from Brown University in Providence, R.I. in 1962. He immediately jointed the Sandy Hill Corporation in Hudson Falls, N.Y. as a sales trainee, later becoming the head of New England region sales. He eventually advanced to become Vice President for Sales and Marketing before leaving Sandy Hill in 1983.

Between 1983 and 1986, Boos worked with TVW Sales in Atlanta, GA, representing Finnish paper machinery manufacturers. Following a brief stint with Matik North America, in 1987, he founded Nordic Engineering, Inc. based in Atlanta serving as a manufacturer’s representative to paper equipment suppliers.

Boos association with the Pulp & Paper Foundation began in 1976 as a member of the Open House committee which he chaired from 1979 until 1982. He also served as chair of the Foundation’s Public Information Committee. He and his wife, Jean, created the Lou and Jean Boos Scholarship Fund.
