Black and white photograph of four generations of Smart family women. Mary D. Smart, wearing a long, dark dress, is seated in a wooden chair holding her great-granddaughter Mildred Hussey in her lap. Mary is quite elderly in this photo. Mildred was born in 1908 and is about two years old at the time of the photograph. Her face is blurred as she moved during the photograph. Behind the chair, Lucinda Sophia "Tena" Smart stands beside her daughter Margaret "Maggie" M. Hussey. Tena wears a white blouse and light-colored, long skirt. Maggie is tightly cinched and wears a white shirt-waist blouse and long white skirt. She wears her hair in an everyday pompadour. circa 1910. See NA2462.
