Description
Black and white photograph of a carefully composed grouping of fishing and hunting equipment. Two canoes are grounded. The bow of one canoe bears the name plaque, "Emma Belle." The bow of the second canoe is ornamented with the painted head of a buck deer. A paddle leans across the bow of the second canoe while two shotguns rest against the bow of the "Emma Belle." Arranged in the foreground is a hatchet, birch bark moose call, a leather belt and knife sheath stamped with the initials, "J.E.S.", and a tangle of fishing net. undated, Late 19th-Early 20th Century.
